52 local artists, performers and musicians have collaborated to produce a diverse selection of work, which were hidden around the city centre, for one day only, as gifts to the people of Peterborough. Using a map, we asked people to follow the trails to find the artistic treasures made by some of the best creative talent in the area.
Creative Peterborough with support from the Arts Council and Vivacity brought local artists together, across all art forms, to collaborate on creating new pieces of work. They were distributed as an art giveaway event in the city centre on the 30th March 2013 and the project took it’s inspiration from the Free Art Friday movement. ‘Find Me, Keep Me’ is a celebration of the growing confidence of the city’s artists, who have produced new work across all mediums of creativity, from poems to paintings, to pieces of craft, to downloadable performances. They were distributed for free around Peterborough’s shopping district. You can take a look at the artwork produced by visiting our gallery or our facebook group. Photos are being uploaded now -and over the next few days- so please be patient if you can’t see any, or take a look below at the different artists who took part.
